They came close but the men of Jellyfish Entertainment fell just a bit short of dethroning Lee Seung Gi, who claimed a third week at number one on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100.
The updated ranking for December 22, 2012 revealed Lee Seung Gi had claimed a third straight week at the top of the Billboard chart with Return.
Sung Si Kyung, Park Hyo Shin, Lee Seok Hoon, Seo In Guk and VIXX’s Because It’s Christmas fell just short of toppling Lee Seung Gi but still managed an impressive number two debut while B2ST’s Yang Yo Seop’s Caffeine held steady at number three.
Another winter-themed song, White Winter, by Kim Bum Soo and Park Jung Hyun, shot to number four from last week’s number eleven position while rookie singers Akdong Musician took a tumble from last week’s number two to number five this week.
Making an enormous leap was Secret’s Talk That as it ranked number six this week and number 67 just a week prior. The rest were steady holdovers including Geek Soyou’s Officially Missing You Too at number seven, Juniel’s Bad Man number eight and Lee Hi’s 1,2,3,4 at number nine.
Noel’s Things That I Couldn’t Say rounded out the top ten at number ten.
